Modern Slavery Act Statement
This statement is constructed on behalf of the Board of Swiis International Ltd by the Swiis Company Director and Chief Executive Officer; Tim Notchell.
Swiis International Ltd is the parent company of Swiis Foster Care Limited (England), Swiis Foster Care Scotland Limited and Swiis Health & Social Care (Swiis (UK) Limited). Established in 1988, The Swiis group of companies is a national provider of independent fostering services and a national provider of temporary staffing solutions to the public and private health and social care sectors. The supply chains across the group consist of national and local suppliers of computer software and equipment, office supplies and consumables, landlords of leased properties and other third party suppliers utilised on an ad-hoc basis for the function of ensuring operations.
Swiis recognise their requirements and responsibilities both in relation to monitoring activities conducted from within the Swiis organisation and in relation to the monitoring of third party suppliers in connection to modern slavery. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Swiis International Limited as the ultimate parent company of; Swiis (UK) Limited, Swiis Foster Care Limited, Swiis Foster Care Scotland Limited are determined to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its businesses, and commit to undertake all necessary actions to mitigate any such risks during each financial year of operating activity.
The Board of Swiis International Ltd is committed to delivering high standards of corporate governance and a key element of this is managing the Swiis group in a socially responsible way. The Swiis group of companies endeavors to consistently practice the highest ethical and professional standards and consistently to comply with all local and national laws and regulations applicable to our business. Swiis International Ltd and its subsidiary companies are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and its supply chains. This commitment is embedded in our employee induction and continuing professional development programmes and forms part of our company policies. Swiis International Ltd also endeavors to ensure the same commitment from all external companies with whom we engage such as our suppliers.
Due to the nature of our business and our approach to governance, we assess that there is very low risk of slavery and human trafficking within our own operation, nor do we consider there to be an obvious risk from amongst our supply chains. Swiis will however, periodically review the effectiveness of the relevant policies and procedures that we have in place to ensure the mitigation of future risk in relation to modern slavery.
